Been a long time since I posted on this blog. The layout is still going, but very slowly. Most of my posts have been on Facebook, since it is a lot easier to post over there. Hope everyone is being safe in this pandemic that seems it's never end. My teaching job is even tougher than normal and it's more work than it's ever been. So you can see that spare time is very rare these days. Here is a diorama that built last week for a train show last weekend. It was the first show we've had since February. The diorama was built to highlight my buddy, Greg McComas's line of HO products. His MAC rail products has many products including the EOT's and flags for the ends of trains. Make sure you check out his line of products and tell him that Shannon sent you! Google for MAC Rail Products or copy and paste this link: macrailproducts.com
Welcome!
This site is dedicated to my model railroad, the HO scale Virginia Midland Railroad. This layout comprises a 12X9 room with two levels. The upper level is complete and the lower level scenery has just begun.
I do a handful of train shows in the Virginia/Maryland region with Makin Tracks. I also can help you find that freight car/locomotive or other hard to find item.

Winter Timonium, MD show in 2 weeks!
Its that time of the year on the east coast for train shows. The Springfield, MA Amherst show is this weekend and then Feb 1st & 2nd We have our Great Scale Model Train Show in Timonium, MD. While I've never attended the Springfield show, the GSMTS is a whole lot closer and I'm on the staff. Our October show was one of the biggest Fall shows EVER and looking like this winter show is going to be huge show and thousands of people through the doors. Hope to see you there and as always, I'll have my excess for sale right behind the entrance doors at Makin' Tracks.
