Welcome!

This site is dedicated to my model railroad, the HO scale Virginia Midland Railroad. This layout comprises a 10X9 room with two levels. The upper level is about 95% complete and the lower level scenery has just begun.

I do a handful of train shows in the Virginia/Maryland region and go by the name of Virginia Midland Shops.
I also can help you find that freight car/locomotive or other hard to find item.

250th Post! Video on my batch weathering method

My 250th post on July 4th.  Pretty cool.   Here's a video on how I weather several cars at one time.
Happy 241st birthday America!  Hope everyone has a great and safe 4th of July!

  1. Good video Shannon. Would have liked to see the application of weathering in "real time" for one car to get a better feel of the application. I've really come to love the craft acrylic paints for weathering applying them with brushes, both wet brush and dry brush with very good results. Have yet to try spraying them, but your video has given me the kick in the pants to give that a try. Thanks and all the best, mike-g.

    1. Glad I could be of assistance Mike! I'll see if I can do a real time video of weathering 2 cars at a time.
